Reflection: Halfway Check-In

Reaching the halfway point of this project has given me an opportunity to reflect on what I have learned, the challenges I have faced, and the progress I have made so far. At the beginning, I was still becoming familiar with WordPress and learning how to create, organize, and publish content correctly.

One of my main accomplishments has been learning how to navigate the WordPress interface. I now understand the difference between editing a website template and editing an individual post. I have also learned how to change titles, add written content, work with images, and publish posts so they can be accessed through a public URL.

A challenge I experienced was finding the correct menus and options. WordPress contains several editing areas, and at first it was difficult to identify which section controlled the content I wanted to modify. Through practice and experimentation, I became more comfortable using the platform and solving these problems independently.

I have also improved my understanding of website organization and presentation. A personal website should have clear titles, readable paragraphs, relevant images, and consistent formatting. These elements help visitors understand the content and make the website look more professional.

At this stage, I am satisfied with the progress I have made, but there are still areas I would like to improve. During the second half of the project, I plan to organize my posts more carefully, improve the visual design of the website, check that all links work correctly, and make sure the content is easy to navigate.

Overall, this halfway check-in has shown me that I have developed useful skills in web design, content management, and digital communication. Although I still have more work to complete, I feel more confident using WordPress and believe that my website will continue improving as I apply what I have learned.
