Wrap-Up Report: My Personal Website Project

Completing my personal website has been a valuable and rewarding learning experience. Throughout this project, I learned how to use WordPress to create, organize, edit, and publish digital content. I also developed a better understanding of how design, navigation, images, and written information work together to create an effective website.

At the beginning of the project, one of my main challenges was understanding the WordPress interface. It was sometimes difficult to distinguish between editing a template, a page, or an individual post. As I continued practicing, I became more comfortable navigating the platform and identifying the correct tools for each task.

During the project, I created several posts and reflections, added images, organized content, and learned how to obtain the public URL for each publication. I also learned that a successful website should be clear, visually consistent, and easy to navigate. Titles, paragraphs, images, spacing, and menus all contribute to the visitor’s experience.

Another important lesson was the value of patience and problem-solving. Some tasks did not work as expected the first time, so I had to review the available options, make adjustments, and try different solutions. This process helped me become more independent and confident when using unfamiliar digital tools.

I am proud of the progress I made during this project. My website now represents the knowledge and skills I developed throughout the lessons. It also serves as a digital space where I can present my work, ideas, and experiences in an organized and professional manner.

In the future, I would like to continue improving the website by adding more original content, enhancing its visual appearance, improving navigation, and ensuring that it displays correctly on both computers and mobile devices.

Overall, this project strengthened my skills in web design, content management, digital communication, and online publishing. It showed me that creating a website requires both creativity and technical knowledge. The experience has prepared me to use WordPress more effectively in future academic, personal, and professional projects.

From mountains wrapped in morning mist,
To golden shores the oceans kissed,
I captured moments, bright and true,
A land of green, of life, of blue.

Each photograph became a way
To save the beauty of a day:
A quiet road, a bird in flight,
A sunset fading into night.

Through every image, I could share
The nature, culture, joy, and care
That make Costa Rica feel like home,
From peaceful forests to ocean foam.

This project taught me how to see
The meaning in simplicity.
Not only looking, but taking time
To tell each story through a frame.

And though this journey now must end,
The lessons learned will still extend.
For every picture leaves behind
A place, a feeling, and a memory in mind.

Thanks!

“A special thank you to my girlfriend for helping me capture these photographs and for being by my side throughout this college journey.”
